If you are a windows user & have been trying to sync the calendar on your iPhone with your Google Calendar, try these steps:

Download Google Calendar Sync, offered by Google. It allows you to sync events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. You’ll be able to determine the direction of information flow, as well as the sync frequency.

Sync your iPhone calendar events with your Outlook calendar.

That’s it!

Google Calendar Sync offers three types of Sync Options between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar.

2-way sync:
All events in your primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar are synced together.

1-way: Google Calendar to Microsoft Outlook calendar

1-way: Microsoft Outlook calendar to Google Calendar

Limitations
Google Calendar Sync will only sync events from your primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar at this time.

Other solutions

OggSync
OggSync is feature rich, for more advanced Google Cal users.
It supports Multiple Google Calendars and Multiple Outlook Calendars
Import Google Colors, Google Calendars mapped to Outlook Categories etc

However, OggSync is not free. I have not tried it yet (38MB installer? Huh!)

KallOut is the first application to bring “selection-based search” to any web page, email, presentation, document, spreadsheet or PDF. Unlike other search methods that are trapped inside the browser, KallOut serves up content from the most popular sites on the web inside floating information palettes (which we call KallOuts). Using only your mouse, you can now avoid the disruption of launching a browser and let KallOut bring you the best the web has to offer.

Socialmention allows you to track conversations about you, your company, a new product, or any topic across the Web’s social media landscape.

KallOut is impressive. SocialMention’s Blog search is great.. while Microblogs search lags.

Exporting Outlook data from Windows to Mac (Apple Mail, Entourage) is quite a cumbersome task.
If you aren’t planning on using any additional software, you’ll have to go through Outlook express or Thunderbird. The steps are far from being easy, yet the results are quite error prone.

There are some shareware products available out there. I’ve taken them for a spin, and the best & easiest one seems to be MessageSave. It’s yet another highly useful product from the Productivity tools company – TechHit (the makers of Simplyfile).

The tool is quite intuitive. And it literally took me a couple of mouse clicks to
export my Messages, Contacts, Calanders.
(Open Outlook, goto Tools->MessageSave->Apple Mac Export ->Export Messages/Calendars/Contacts)

Then I transferred those exported files to my Mac, and imported them to AppleMail, Addressbook, Calander, Entourage etc.

That’s it…! Cowabunga!

Here’s more info on exporting messages, contacts, calendars.
